Cedar Key right now: Cedar Key was hit by Hurricane Idalia (Aug 2023), a Dock Street fire (Sept 2024), and Hurricane Helene (Sept 2024). Most of the island is open and welcoming guests. A few Dock Street favorites are still rebuilding, and 2nd Street has become the everyday center of town while that happens. All five short-term units share the same historic green building at 634 6th Street, right across the street from the water and about a 10-minute walk to Dock Street and the boat ramp. They are not radically different from each other. Pelican Point is the biggest, with a king bed and 2 bathrooms. Gull Wing has no stairs to the front door. Sandpiper Wing is a small one-bedroom for a solo traveler or couple. Blue Heron Nest and White Heron Nest are mirrored upstairs units with their own seating on a shared upstairs porch with water views.

Very nice unit that is walking distance to everything you need. Very quiet and laid-back. Short walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and beautiful Gulf sunsets! Lauren and Aric were very responsive at check-in to solve an inoperable AC issue and quickly upgraded us to another unit with a water view and porch swing where we spent a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the view and cooling breeze. Definitely recommend this accommodation.
Our family had a wonderful stay at Lauren’s place. It was exactly as described and more. Perfect location that was quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. Loved having the breakfast place right across the street and a spot to catch the perfect sunset within walking distance. Would highly recommend her place to anyone looking to enjoy what Cedar Key has to offer!
We totally loved our stay! The condo was squeaky clean and very comfortable. The location was great for walking to all of the restaurants and sites around town. Lauren was such a great host. She responded immediately when our washer was not working. We had use of a working washer within minutes. We loved Cedar Key and the condo was perfect.
Lauren was super friendly and very informative before we stayed. She gave us all the info we needed which was great since I’ve never done this before. The place was so clean and inviting. It’s also within walking distance of downtown. 10/10 recommend.
This was the first time we were in Cedar Key. My wife and I were very happy with Gull #4. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. It was within walking distance of everything the town offered. I highly recommend the Gull.
The Blue Heron was perfectly located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. it was clean and quiet, and Lauren was responsive when contacted.
